Born and raised in the Philippines, Rev. Dr. Arellano is bilingual and fluent in both English and Tagalog-Pilipino, fostering a deep connection with our diverse congregation. His service extends across churches in both his home country and the United States, reflecting a commitment to spreading the message of faith and community. With a compassionate heart and a global outlook, Rev. Dr. Armando Arellano leads our congregation with wisdom and understanding. Zack GoldenDirector of Technology and CommunicationZack Golden holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Film & Media Arts and brings a wide range of expertise spanning digital design, online marketing, and Cisco networking. As the Director of Technology and Communication at East Shore United Methodist Church, Zack leads the church’s digital strategy; managing the website, maintaining a dynamic social media presence, and ensuring the smooth operation of audiovisual and IT systems.
With a strong commitment to community and innovation, Zack combines creativity with technical skill to enhance communication and connection within the church. Outside of East Shore, he volunteers with the American Red Cross as a member of the Disaster Action Team, responding to local emergencies such as house fires and floods to support those in need. Zack’s dedication, technical insight, and heart for service make him an essential part of East Shore’s mission to connect, inform, and uplift both online and in person. |

Lu NiuPianistLu Niu is active in the field of collaborative piano and chamber music performance. She has appeared in several music festivals, including the Music Academy of the West in Santa Barbara, California, and the Bowdoin International Music Festival in Brunswick, Maine. Lu was a finalist in the Music Academy of the West’s Duo Competition and received the Cleveland Heights Alumni Chapter of Mu Phi Epsilon’s Rosa Lobe Award in 2023. She has performed at the 2023 commencement, the convocation ceremony, and the Luminaries Benefit Concerts of the Cleveland Institute of Music in 2025. Lu has also collaborated with Frank Rosenwein, the principal oboist of the Cleveland Orchestra; played in masterclasses for renowned musicians such as Augustin Hadelich, Anthony McGill, and Antoine Tamestit, among others.
Lu is currently pursuing a Doctor of Musical Arts degree in collaborative piano at the Cleveland Institute of Music, where she studies with Anita Pontremoli. She also holds a Master’s degree with a double major in piano performance and collaborative piano from the Cleveland Institute of Music, where she studied with Kathryn Brown and Anita Pontremoli. |

Beyond his custodial responsibilities, David plays an active role in church life, helping coordinate events and serving as the chef for our Soup’s On Community Meal, where his warm hospitality and delicious food bring people together in fellowship. David’s reliability, care, and servant-hearted spirit make him an essential part of the East Shore family, ensuring our building and ministries remain places of comfort, connection, and grace. |
