Rev. Dr. Armando C. Arellano

Pastor

Rev. Dr. Armando Arellano, the esteemed pastor at East Shore United Methodist Church, brings a wealth of experience and a multicultural perspective to our community. As an Ordained Elder in Full Connection of the East Ohio Annual Conference, Rev. Dr. Arellano's journey has spanned both the Philippines and the United States.

Born and raised in the Philippines, Rev. Dr. Arellano is bilingual and fluent in both English and Tagalog-Pilipino, fostering a deep connection with our diverse congregation. His service extends across churches in both his home country and the United States, reflecting a commitment to spreading the message of faith and community.

With a compassionate heart and a global outlook, Rev. Dr. Armando Arellano leads our congregation with wisdom and understanding. His multicultural background enriches our spiritual journey, creating a welcoming space where everyone can feel a sense of belonging.​

Melissa Droske

​Administrative Assistant & Nursery Attendant

​Melissa Droske, our dedicated Nursery Attendant at East Shore United Methodist Church, brings warmth and care to our youngest members. With a nurturing spirit, Melissa ensures a safe and welcoming environment for children in the nursery. Her attentive presence and genuine love for children create a space where parents can have peace of mind as they participate in worship. Melissa's commitment to the well-being of our little ones adds a special touch to our church family, making East Shore a place where everyone, regardless of age, feels valued and cared for.

Zack Golden

Director of Technology and Communication

Zack Golden holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Film & Media Arts and brings a wide range of expertise spanning digital design, online marketing, and Cisco networking. As the Director of Technology and Communication at East Shore United Methodist Church, Zack leads the church’s digital strategy; managing the website, maintaining a dynamic social media presence, and ensuring the smooth operation of audiovisual and IT systems.

With a strong commitment to community and innovation, Zack combines creativity with technical skill to enhance communication and connection within the church. Outside of East Shore, he volunteers with the American Red Cross as a member of the Disaster Action Team, responding to local emergencies such as house fires and floods to support those in need.

Zack’s dedication, technical insight, and heart for service make him an essential part of East Shore’s mission to connect, inform, and uplift both online and in person.

Maggie Golden

Assistant Director of Communication & Technology

Maggie Golden, our Assistant Director of Communication & Technology at East Shore United Methodist Church, is a dynamic professional with a B.A. in Film and Media Arts from Cleveland State University. She brings a fresh perspective to our online presence, contributing her creative flair to the creation of engaging content for our social media accounts. Maggie's passion for storytelling and technology enhances our communication strategies, connecting our community in meaningful ways.

Jean Priddy

Director of the Chancel Choir & Bell Choir

​Jean Priddy, Director of the Chancel Choir & Bell Choir at East Shore United Methodist Church, is a driving force behind our harmonious worship. With passion and expertise, Jean leads our choirs, fostering unity and excellence. Beyond her musical leadership, Jean actively engages in music education and community outreach. Her dedication enhances our church family's spiritual journey, making our musical ministry a vibrant and integral part of our worship experience.

Lu Niu

Pianist

Lu Niu is active in the field of collaborative piano and chamber music performance. She has  appeared in several music festivals, including the Music Academy of the West in Santa Barbara,  California, and the Bowdoin International Music Festival in Brunswick, Maine. Lu was a finalist  in the Music Academy of the West’s Duo Competition and received the Cleveland Heights  Alumni Chapter of Mu Phi Epsilon’s Rosa Lobe Award in 2023. She has performed at the 2023  commencement, the convocation ceremony, and the Luminaries Benefit Concerts of the  Cleveland Institute of Music in 2025. Lu has also collaborated with Frank Rosenwein, the  principal oboist of the Cleveland Orchestra; played in masterclasses for renowned musicians  such as Augustin Hadelich, Anthony McGill, and Antoine Tamestit, among others.

Lu is currently pursuing a Doctor of Musical Arts degree in collaborative piano at the Cleveland  Institute of Music, where she studies with Anita Pontremoli. She also holds a Master’s degree  with a double major in piano performance and collaborative piano from the Cleveland Institute  of Music, where she studied with Kathryn Brown and Anita Pontremoli.

Margaret Craig

Song Leader

​Margaret Craig, our vibrant song leader at East Shore United Methodist Church, brings a wealth of musical talent to our worship experience. With a heart dedicated to unity through melody, Margaret leads our congregation with a diverse repertoire, spanning traditional hymns to contemporary songs. Her warm presence and community involvement enrich the spiritual tapestry of our church, fostering connections and creating a meaningful worship environment. We are grateful for Margaret's leadership and the joy she brings to our shared spiritual journey.

David Golden

Custodian

David Golden, our dedicated Custodian at East Shore United Methodist Church, takes great pride in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for all who enter our doors. A veteran of the United States Air Force, David brings the same sense of discipline, teamwork, and service to his work at East Shore.
Beyond his custodial responsibilities, David plays an active role in church life, helping coordinate events and serving as the chef for our Soup’s On Community Meal, where his warm hospitality and delicious food bring people together in fellowship.
David’s reliability, care, and servant-hearted spirit make him an essential part of the East Shore family, ensuring our building and ministries remain places of comfort, connection, and grace.
